Oli Frey did illustrations for various computer and gaming magazines in the 1980s and early 1990s. These include:
- CRASH: dedicated to the ZX Spectrum home computer. It was published from 1984 to 1991 by Newsfield Publications Ltd until their liquidation, and then until 1992 by Europress Impact.
- Zzap!64: covering games on the Commodore International series of computers, especially the Commodore 64 (C64). It was published in the UK by Newsfield Publications Ltd and later by Europress Impact. It ran from 1985 to 1992.
- Amtix: monthly software review for the Amstrad computers. Published by Newsfield Publications Ltd from 1985 to 1987.
- Sega Force: early 1990s publication that covered the Sega console range (Sega Mega Drive, Mega CD, Master System and Game Gear). Published by Europress Impact.
