One of my favorite running gags on Community is that Britta Perry (played by Gillian Jacobs) is a buzzkill that ruins everything. She’s the worst. Not really though. She’s actually one of the best characters on the show in my opinion.
Compilation video of Britta being called “the worst”:
Nancy & Beth are Megan Mullally (Childrens Hospital, Party Down, Will & Grace) and Stephanie Hunt (Friday Night Lights – she was in Landry’s band Crucifictorious).
Here are three cover songs from their live performance on Comedy Bang Bang.
In the Cool of the Day: Cover of “Now Is The Cool of the Day” written by Kentucky singer and folk songwriter Jean Ritchie in the 1970s. It was later covered by Daniel Martin Moore in 2011.
Jack, You’re Dead: Cover of the 1947 single by Louis Jordan and His Tympany Five.
It’s the Girl: A song from the 1930s. I couldn’t find who originally wrote it, but it was performed in 1931 by The Boswell Sisters (with the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra and Jack Purvis) and Freddie Rich’s Radio Orchestra (with vocals by Elmer Feldkamp).
They’ve also performed at Largo in LA with Conan O’Brien and Nick Offerman.
Fantastic Four #17 Variant Cover by Julian Totino Tedesco. This was part of Avengers Art Appreciation Month.

Excerpt from The Best Show on WFMU (Jan 5, 2010)
Patton Oswalt and Tom Scharpling discuss how Gallagher transitioned from a goofy hippy to an angry racist. The story of Gallagher’s disastrous pseudo-Spanish show full of degrading stereotypes and insults is pretty hilarious/sad.
They also ponder the idea of Quentin Tarantino casting him in a movie to revive his career.

Excerpt from episode 4 of Dan Harmon’s HarmonTown Podcast.
Recorded at NerdMelt Theater inside Meltdown Comics in LA.
Self destructive writer Dan Harmon (“Community,” “Monster House,” “Heat Vision and Jack”) claims he will one day found a colony of like-minded misfits. He’s appointed suit-clad gadabout Jeff Davis (“Whose Line is it Anyway”) as his Comptroller.

Like many people, Altered Beast was the first Sega Genesis game I owned since it was originally bundled with the system. Looking back, it’s pretty funny to see a big muscle dude in a loincloth walking around kicking zombies, but turning into different werecreatures is still awesome no matter how old this game is.
Altered Beast (“Beast King’s Chronicle”, in Japan) is a 1988 beat ’em up arcade game developed and manufactured by Sega. The game is set in Ancient Greece, and follows a centurion who is resurrected by Zeus to rescue his daughter Athena. To do so he becomes uses power ups to turn into beasts such as a werewolf, a thunder weredragon, a werebear, a weretiger, and the more powerful golden werewolf. After its initial arcade release, it was ported to several home video game consoles and home computers, most notably the Sega Mega Drive for which it was a pack-in game. The primary designer was Makoto Uchida, also responsible for the creation of Golden Axe.

Here’s an interesting comparison of the different versions of Altered Beast for other platforms. I had no idea there was a Commodore 64 version!
