This failed pilot was written by SCTV’s Dave Thomas and had special effects by the legendary Stan Winston (Aliens, Predator, Terminator 2). It starred SNL’s Charles Rocket as a terminator-like robot on the run from the government. It’s basically The Six Million Dollar Man meets The Fugitive. He is joined on his journey by a trucker (Hoyt Axton, the dad from Gremlins) and a doctor (Dorian Lopinto, the mom from The Secret World of Alex Mack). The villain was played by Chuck Conners from The Rifleman and Airplane II. It also featured character actor Paul Dooley, David Wohl from Revenge of the Nerds, and Fred Shafer’s Lil’ Bearfoot monster truck (many mistake it for Bigfoot).

Colorful characters, beautiful women, and over-the-top comedy sketches were integral to the series’ success. Most of the performers were actresses, models, dancers, and/or stunt women hoping to get into show business through wrestling.
